raising £1 million
Rowing, funding and providing
The Maclean Brothers have already rowed across the Atlantic to bring clean water to 3,000 people. Now they want to reach 40,000. To do this, they need to raise £1million.
How? By rowing across the full Pacific Ocean. Ewan, Jamie and Lachlan Maclean, three of The Maclean Foundation’s founders, are rowing halfway round the world to raise awareness and funds for water projects in Madagascar.
beyond water
The Pacific challenge
They set off from South America in April 2025 and will attempt to row to Australia, non-stop and completely unsupported. They anticipate the 9,000 mile crossing to take 4-5 months.
Their goal is to raise as much money as possible for The Maclean Foundation in support of Feedback Madagascar’s “Beyond Water” campaign.
By delivering water and sanitation infrastructure, long-term management systems, hygiene and sanitation training and water source management.
The “Beyond Water” project will change lives not only immediately, but also catalyse development and conservation opportunities in the long-term.
